Activation

The motion that converts. When the Radar catches an aware account reacting, Activation closes it fast. The easiest deal you will run.

1What it is

Activation is one of the four motions in the system behind the Compass. Three motions develop awareness; Activation is the fourth, and the only one that converts.

2What problem it solves

It solves the timing problem: a ready account whose window you miss goes to a competitor. Activation names the moment to move at full speed instead of nurturing.

3How it works

When the Signal Radar catches an aware account starting to react, on either axis, you close it fast. For In-Market accounts an SDR runs sharp, signal-informed outreach; for Sales-Ready accounts an AE follows up in minutes with full context. That is the easiest deal you will run.

4When to use it

Fire Activation only when readiness is real, not on awareness alone. Run it on the accounts the scoring engine flags as reacting now.

5Example

A won account does not drop back to cold Outbound: it stays in Nurture, and when a new signal fires, Activation runs again to expand or upsell. The cheapest readiness you will ever detect is inside an account that already bought.

6Relationship to other concepts

Activation is where the two axes meet. It depends on the readiness axis and the scoring engine, and it is the play for the In-Market and Sales-Ready quadrants.
